I'm game to post my messy area, but it will have to wait until later tonight or tomorrow. Now, fellow vet, do I need to move my music stuff, so that just my art stuff is there, or can I leave it?

Just finished up for the night, so these are honest pics.
(painting snow & ice.)
I live alone, so I can clean up (at least the water etc. every night, and not have to worry about the mess.)
And if someone comes over, I just close the door!

 Welcome to my mess. Actually this is good for me. My mom is coming on Sunday and I started clearing space two days ago. Can you tell? That pile of boxes etc... my muse is sleeping on is actually the bed. I guess I still have some work to do.:(

Well, here's my promised pics of the so-called studio. There's more than just art stuff, and yes, I need to clean my desk:D

My wife saw this as I was uploading the pictures, and took the time to tell me I needed to clean it up - and I'm in trouble for showing people.:D

Just think of all the treasures that are buried in that desk Michael!
As long as you know where everything is, you are OKAY!
Maybe you should show your wife this thread, and she will come to realize that you are not all that unique?
After all we are Artists and therefore eccentric?
They (Non-artists) call it Mess, but in reality it is our Joy!

Well Kathleen, you are absolutely right...and so is she:)

I need to clean and organize this stuff, and I should start with the desk. Of course, what I SHOULD do and what I WILL do are not the same!

Since I do not have a specific studio space, I use whatever space is available, and this was one of the rare times when I was home alone enjoying :-) I am much more messier than this when working with paints, just never got a chance to click it!:D

Hey guys, I'm in between projects, so mine is pretty neat at the moment. Hope to paint this weekend. But, Michael, I love your pile of shoes! Ruthie

what a great little companion to have around you as you paint, my two border collies are a bit too boistrous to be allowed in my den, well one of them is anyway, the other is 16 and half, and just wants to sleep now. Have fun...Shell

Ack! How can you people live like this!

Just kidding...I wish my space looked that kempt. Unfortunately, I don't have a workspace, much less a studio, so I just use the coffee table and a storage bin, into which everything goes after a painting session. Not too fun, but hey, you gotta make it work somehow. Actually, my coffee table is glass, and lately I have succumbed to using it as.......a mega-sized glass palette. Don't worry, I cover it with a tablecloth when we have company. :p

I would take a picture of my space to share, but I think it would be just too depressing.

. . . are those geetars objet d'art or do you play as well as paint Angela

I play. In my "spare" time, which means not much lately.

. . . and my animals aren't allowed in, but they hang out in the doorway sometimes while I'm painting.
