This is small for me, 5x7 inches.
This is x posted from daily painting. The learning process continues. In this,
the challenge was working small and on mat board (which I find too absorbent).
I am still trying to get the strokes down as well as using the whole value range.
It is not finished and the tree trunk has only the under painting. Thankfully
tomorrow is another day and my eyes will be fresh and the temperatures which have been too high here will be lower.
Thank you all for taking a look and those who have sent me messages I have not forgotten you. I am organizing my thoughts on painting and I will send them on soon.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/23-Sep-2008/25273-acrylic_palmero_5x7_014.jpg

It is done. Thank you all for your supportive comments. It really makes learning about acrylics much easier. Every painting is a learning experience. This my 9th acrylic painting. I did it to enter in a local competition. So we will see. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/24-Sep-2008/25273-Acrylic_Palmero_5x7_026.JPG

I think this is fantastic..I like the subject matter, but most of all I think I really enjoy the way youve handled the lighting. You can just feel the time of day from this ...........again, fantastic!!! Its a winner in my book!!!
