Pastelmat by Clairefontaine

Will you be offering the Pastelmat by Clairefontaine any time soon? I've heard it's a great product but not available here in the US to my knowlege.

We are not going to be adding the Pastelmat by Clairfontaine. The manufacturer does not even offer this product at all in the US. I have sent a request to our Merchandisers.
My merchandiser did inform me that we will be adding a new pastel paper in our 2009 catalog which will come out this coming January.
In the meantime, you might want to check out the ArtSpectrum Colourfix papers.

That's a disappointment since I've heard many good things about it. I have the Colourfix already. I thank you for your quick reply anyway.

I know it's been quite some time since I first asked about the PastelMat and I know that it's being carried in several online art stores. The PastelMat site lists DickBlick.com as one of those online retailers but I can't find it there.

Am I just overlooking it or is it not being carried? I thought I had seen it there at one time though. Unfortunately, I'd just had a friend send me some from overseas so I didn't order any then.

I know I can get it in the US now, I just prefer to order from Blicks.

Hi,
I contacted our Merchandisers and apparently Clairefontaine is a little a head of us. We are going to start "carrying" it when our new Studio Catalog comes out at the end of the summer. That being said, as soon as it is all in stock it will be made available on our website. It looks like we do currently have the packages/pads in stock which can be be purchasd now, but the sheets have yet to come in. I know you just got some from your friend, but if you wanted the item number, please private message me and I would be happy to provide it for you. Also if you were interested in specific individual colors I could check on those as well to see when they will be in.

Audra, I am so glad you're going to be carrying PastelMat. I asked you about it months ago and knew that you had trouble getting it, but when I go through my current stock I'll be sure to get a pad from y'all. This is a relief to me, anytime I see something good online I'm always hoping to find it at Blick.
