View Full Version : Finger Painting by Glo

Oh my, I can't believe I'm really posting this. But for some time I've really been
intrigued by finger painting. And I decided to try it. My
objective is simply to enjoy it and play with color and form...

I tried to upload, but couldn't get it to work. Could someone please
advise me.
I would love to have comments, and perhaps gentle critique. :o

Love the painting !!!

Wow, you've really "let your fingers do the walking" through this painting and it is lovely. We would all be handicapped if we couldn't get our fingers in our paints.:)

Wow... very nice! Simplicity, but not so much that you can't easily enjoy the painting and tell what it is, either (I was a little worried when I saw the finger painting title, honestly. heh) Thanks for sharing them.

Hmmm... I wonder if I could use my nails for detail? :D

Beautiful expressive work! I use my fingers a lot too in some paintings, keeps it loose and stops you fussing over detail.

These are beautiful.

I occasionally finger paint, as well. I've never done it with acrylic paint. Do you need to use a drying retardant to do it? I'm thinking of executing a new fingerpainting.

My mother is a pretty accomplished watercolor painter, but my favorite piece of hers is this finger painting she did when she was 9. It hung in the local public library. She has it now at home, and it is framed.

they're lovely, the technique certainly lends itself well to flowers, I did a finger paint job on a beach scene earlier this year, I'll look it out and post it some time. I seem to remember it's tough on the fingie tips, but I'm just starting another, so it couldn't have been too painful. Love these flowers tho', great movement, great colour, great work...Shelley
