I love the warmth in the close-up rocks. Nice atmosphere throughout. :)

great painting.. very serene calm waters.. great rocks, but the kinda look a tad bit washed out.. maybe darker darks and brighten up the highlights some. just a though.

 I really like your painting with almost a misty atmosphere. Very nice rocks. I hesitate to say more because monitors show color so differently. IF my monitor is correct, I would like to see just a wee bit more color in the background hills, not enough to lose the atmospheric feeling but just enough to keep them from being lost against the light sky. Perhaps too much the same value between the sky and the distant hills?? Again, it could me my color monitor at fault - it is truly a restful and lovely painting.

I think your limited palette painting turned out very well...should be a keeper.:)

 Hi Anne!

Your foreground rocks and water are outstanding! Perfect amount of color and detail- I wouldn't change a thing for either. I pondered the background, and I think it would work fine as is if the big rock in the mid-ground was a bit more detailed. It would be something to try before going in to tweak the whole background anyway.

I'm still in awe of the fore though; sure wish I could get water as good as yours, Anne. I just love it! :D

I really like the ruggedness of the rocks. I like the misty feel of the far background. Good Job! Ruthie

Very, very nice Anne - these foggy days subdue and diffuse the light so nicely as if to drape everything with a gauze veil thus lowering the intensity of all the colors - you did that quite effectively.
