Welcome back Stephanie!! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Sounds like an exciting trip!
I was gone for a few days too. I rented a cabin in a state park (I thought)for 4 days of plein air painting. The cabin turned out to be in the middle of a 2 cow pastures, it poured rain non-stop, there was a flood watch,(it had been raining 17 days)the temp. went from 38 to 40 and after I got sick the first day, I sat in the cabon and painted still lifes...LOL. Got some great pics of the cows though. On the bright side, there was a jacuzzi on the back porch... http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Sure missed everyone!! (no phone or modem either)
<hugs>

After a good night's sleep....I am still tired!
No Plein Air painting....with temperatures hover at about 100 and high humidity...impossible. Yes..we did spend 5 days in Bangkok visiting friends. I got some great photo's of the floating Market. Unfortunately, it is basically maintained for the tourist's...but was still interesting. That style of life has all but disappeared in Bangkok.
Gisela...sounds like some of the holiday's I have spent!!! At least the Jacuzzi helped I am sure!! And I love COWS!!!!
I went to a painting class in BK....8 women..all quite accomplished in oils. I specifically went to have the instructor show me how to knife paint. Did a lovely canvas...but had to leave it there..as it was wet. Hope to get it in the future. Another excuse to visit my friend. I gave them all info on this site....hopefully they will check it out. I know that my friend will...ran her through the site while I was there...but no one was in chat. She was verrrry impressed. I also purchased a small painting from her...her first sale!!! She was thrilled and I am happy to have the painting!!! I spent several days helping her figure out how to market and price her work.(oil.both knife and brush...also using oil on sand, quite an interesting effect.)
So I have had an entire 10 days...of an artist date!!!! Bought some oil supplies, brushes and some great containers for brushes. I will do a post about the Cambodia trip, when I can get my **** together!!! Hope to post photo's in the next few days.
Thanks for the welcome back.
Stephanie

Hi,
Well, I am back....all body parts accounted for. It was a great trip...I am absolutely exhausted!!!
I have about 150 digital photo's and 8 rolls of 36 exp. photo's. I will share some, once I get them downloaded and sorted. Some great stuff to paint...
I couldn't sleep my first night in Cambodia...visions of paintings dancing through my head!!! It was a true adventure, and the pictures I am sure will not do it justice!! I only hope that my memory holds out long enough to get it all painted!!!
Look forward to catching up with you all soon.
I am going to bed...and sleep for a week!!!!
Stephanie
