12" x 16" Acrylics on canvas board. I haven't touched my acrylics in forever and have been working in watercolors. Got the urge to fill some blank canvas and this is what 'flowed' out...C&C?

The painting with mostly true colors:

I'll have to attach the detail shots as the uploader mysteriously quit working for me...

Very nice, good colors, nice even flow to it...reminds me of water.

Thanks Bizkit--I too was reminded of water and therefore the word 'thalassic' which means: 1. Relating to seas or oceans, especially smaller or inland seas.
2. Relating to rocks formed from sediment that has been deposited on the ocean floor.

And the colors reminded me of what jewel tones might look like should they be buried beneath the sea, shimmering up from the water, so hopefully that explains the title :).
