View Full Version : Pears and grapes finally finished-OPEN acrylics

I haven't worked on this for weeks. Yesterday I was determined to finish it.
For the life of me, I just can't take a good photo of it. The grapes are not washed out in real life. In general, it is just not very bright in real life but looks glowing in photos.
This is my second ever acrylic painting and my first Golden Open Acrylic painting.
I'm guessing I should varnish but it's already so hard to see because of the glare so I don't know what to do next.
I tried scanning, it's not better, just different.

Wonderful job!

yes you should varnish it, but the Golden info says that you should let the painting cure for 30 days before varnishing... so just enjoy it for now! :-)

Looks great! If you don't like a glare, use a matte varnish.
