Nice one tonyjazz. you have a way with the "Blues".
I went to your site and there's some nice pieces.
Samba Pa Ti, ... ahhh, LOVE that song. One of the best feelin' guitar songs ever. By the way, years ago, I played the melody part on the Bass Guitar for a couple of gigs, couldn't get that Carlos sound though(warm).
Keep 'em comin'.

That's cool, I really like the rocks.

My idea of a storm surge is different than yours. Nice painting though . I understand the use of the yellow I just find it a bit too much for me considering that the gull and foam on the wave are lit well with white light.

Very strong painting indeed.
I love the streaks in the sky and the way you did the waves including the addition of yellow.

I really like your approach to this. Love the added gull, it's all very strong as someone else has said. Good job!

Appreciate the comments all, this was a paint over of a prior piece. I get weird if I don't have a canvas and start looking around for something to paint on.......The BG was done with all the left over paint I recycle, used to throw it away, no more! Gives a grayish tone, nice for underpaintings. I added an earth to the painting......to make it more surreal.....once in a while I just get the urge to paint without a ref pic......TJ

Hmmmmmm - would had been better if given to the urge and added a surfing figure riding it all out...

Nice one. Indeed nice! How you used the colours are simply praiseworthy:clap:
Have you done a sketch first and then painted with colours? I would be pleased to know:)

 It is very much surreal Tony! I like the orb in the light stream and the effects of the colors on the water! Good to hear there are others that use left over paint this way. :D

Robert: Good idea about the surfer! Thanx.....
Barsha: Thanx for your fine comments. No sketching done, just painted, free flowing ideas as they popped up.
Elizabeth: Thanx for the comments, Rose Queen turned me on to saving the leftover paint for future use!,,,,,,TJ
