FTP is " file transfer protocol" quicker way of transfering files in both directions, like to and from your site pages. Beleive Scott is going to add in future.

HTML = HyperText Markup Language. Pierre's webschool stuff at ArtistNation goes into a lot more detail for those that are interested or need more info.
Hotmail is a site that gives you free web-based email. in exchange for having to suffer through banner ads. Of course, if you are a member of ArtistNation, you don't need Hotmail, as you already have a free web-based email system (with no banners, I might add).
