Here is one I finished several weeks ago but haven't been able to get a good picture of. This one still does not show the soft yellows and peach in the sky. The reference is several photos of the Corpus Christi bay, the jerry, and a sailboat. It is 16x20 acrylic with some oil on the rocks.

Hi Pat,
I really like your painting...from the colors of the sky to the water and the splashes on the rocks :) Nice job!

I enjoyed viewing this. Love the colors of sky and water. Great work on the water movement.

Pat, this is wonderful.
I might suggest that you create a bit more shadowing at the bottom of the rocks in the front middle as you have on either end. This area would receive almost no light at all.
No matter if you opt to ignore this, I like it anyhow! :)

This is very , very nice and with a few minor corrections will be great.
My first observation is that the horizon slopes downward from right to left. It is minor yet obvious. Any horizon needs to parallel to the top and bottom of the canvas. Secondly I'm a little confused as to the direction of the light source. Some rocks have it from the left, some from the right and some from the top and the rocks do need a bit more shadow here and there. Other than that the composition is pretty good.

Thanks to all for your generous comments.
Thanks to Linn, Mike, Kathie, Soni, Angela, Arlene, Linda, Kathleen and George.
George, the horizon line is very straight in real life. Probably photographer error.
Kathleen and George, In the actual painting the shadows are deeper than the appear on my screen.
I really appreciate your and everyone elses comments.
