If you've always wished that the artists you see in F+W's magazines and books could be working live in your living room, I'm happy to tell you that your wish has come true. F+W's new website, Artistsnetwork.tv (http://www.artistsnetwork.tv/), offers online streaming video of top artists, working in a variety of media, demonstrating their painting techniques. I know, as the editor of The Pastel Journal, I have always wished there was a way to SHOW how an artist eyes the palette, selects a color and makes a stroke, and now there's a way!

We've worked with watermedia artist Stephen Quiller, oil painter and pastel artist Katherine M. Hurley, figure and portrait artists Costa Vavagiakis and Sharon Sprung. Our latest video offerings come from pastel artist, Deborah Secor, a WetCanvas member and regular contributing writer for The Pastel Journal. To check out the free previews of Deborah's videos, and others, visit Artistsnetwork.tv (http://www.artistsnetwork.tv/) and click on "Workshop Details/Previews."

You can purchase single workshops (each approximately 60 minutes) or purchase a 6-month subscription for access to the entire series (new videos will be added every month).

Anne,

You might check the Pastel Forum PASTEL TALK. There's a complaint afoot on a thread about CLOSE UPS. And it's valid--we want to see the strokes of some of these paintings published in the Pastel Journal. Thanks!

I'll do that. Sounds like interesting feedback. Thanks!

Hi Anne

It's great if it works. The link for the video workshop I paid for now points to another workshop and in answer to my query your customer services told me to check my connection speed.

Are they that rude to all of your customers?

Regards

Carol
