If anyone is getting that message, you need to clean out your browser's cache, then try it again.

You can do this under Netscape, by choosing EDIT, then PREFERENCES,then ADVANCED.

Under Explorer, choose GO, then INTERNET OPTIONS, then DELETE TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES.

Which browser and version are you using? The Chat will not work with Netscape 3.0 or less.

Try looking at your Java Console (under Netscape, try COMMUNICATOR, then TOOLS, then JAVA CONSOLE). See what that says.

Hmm. I just tried it with IE 4.0 and it worked fine. Did you check your Java Console for errors?

It still doesn't work. Now I am trying from my machine at home. Cleared the cache here too.

It opens the page, then it loads the java archive, then it just says "Done".

Henrik - unfortunately no. The ports are not configurable, which is a stupid assumption on their part.

Let me make a change - then try to connect in a few minutes....

Scott, I can't get into the chat. All I get is the You are now being logged into WetChat, please wait" Nothing else happens. The browser stops waitning, it says Done, but no applet starts.... nothing.

I cleared out the cache and tried again. Same problem.

You have two browsers open; one with the "loggin in to chat" page open (the page that starts the chat; you must stay on this page while chatting) - the other broser you use for message boards or whatever. I usually have 5-6 browser windows at the same time.
