Ok...I'm addicted. I don't generally drink coffee black, but oh my gosh does it smell good that way! By the time I've added my cream and sugar, well....let's just say we're talking about a warm milkshake. Painted at 10x10 on gallery wrapped canvas. c/c most welcome....thank you!

Very cool Holly. I used to drink mine w/cream and sugar too, but grew to love it black, especially anything bold, dark roast.

I really like this. I looked once, then came back again and it really began to grow on me. Nice loose cool color on the table and shadow that contrasts very well with the somewhat tighter and warmer coffee cup. This could be really cool in a much larger format I think. Nice.

thank you all so much for great positive feedback! I'm flattered and I'm glad it's well liked! I DO love my coffee! Robert, I do know Jelaine Faunce's work, as I receive her daily updates....I've always amired her realism! Funny, though, I don't want to be a 'realistic' painter, I aspire to be more impressionistic! Oh well....I think I put a bit of both in here!!

Btw, black's best. :D

It is absolutely perfect! Awesome composition, excellent details, and the rich color of the coffee is spot on! I'm a coffeeholic myself and this looks real enough to make me want to reach out and grab it! Excellent work! :D
