Nature's Glory

Hi all! This is my first post here. I just found this site yesterday and spent hours reading the articles and perusing the "Art School" lessons until my acct. was activated. I am so happy to have found other painters online! I am not sure what possessed me to paint this Canon and Blue bird - I guess I thought it woud look neat (I am an avid bird photographer). Please share your thoughts, comments and suggestions. Thanks!

How do I also post this to the "watercolors" forum? Or can I? Can I do it without uploading the image again? Thanks!

Seems like I saw this recently in the Nature Photographers Network (NPN) photography forum:)
Fun painting, especially for a photog like yourself!

Hi! Thanks Matty :) I was SO happy to find this site yesterday. I've put the camera down for awhile and picked up the brushes again. I was so inspired by the wonderful work here that I started a new one today! Forgot how much FUN painting is (and it's certainly less frustrating than photography!).
THANK YOU everyone!

LMAO! OK I know cannon as in weapon is spelt with 2 Ns, but i did think cannon and cannon ball first! Then to my surprise, there is a camera! Now, if you had a Nikon, I guess there would be no confusion for me. lol Or, if I were less dopey.
This is a great piece! It is so endearing. The bird is wonderful. I guess for me it has a sort of illustration or product rendering feel. Very good way of representing your 2 loves. That idea could even be extended into some sort of collage or surreal painting as well.
Anyway, I really do like this piece! Now I am curious to see your photos.
