hi everyone,
recently, i asked for opinions on my website, and got some valuable advice. now my website is up and running (www.joliedennison.com), but i need advice on one more thing. i'm doing research on how to get noticed by search engines. one thing all the research confirms so far is not to submit sites that redirect to another site because search engines consider that to be spam...so here's my question. my husband has plenty of webspace and has my site in a subdirectory on his site. i have my own domain name, which is now connected to his site. if you type in the address above, it goes to the home page, but after that each page shows the subdirectory name page. i don't think that's such a bad thing, but i'm not positive, and if i have to submit to search engines without my domain name, i'll always be found with his web address and subdirectory folder. do people really pay attention to that and should i pay for my own web hosting or give this a try?
thanks!
