Hi all,
I just finished this set and was very pleased while making them to see how very interesting 254 looked as a design on a heavy application of iris violet reduction frit. I would love it if you would honestly tell me if you feel it is a good thing or a bad thing. There will be another photo..
Thanks a bunch,
Ann

That is a wonderful look! I really enjoy how some glass reacts differently and try to use those reactions! EDP is a geat one for that! Beautiful beads! I guess that would mean I think it is a good thing!

Ann - I often "use" the devitrification intentionally. I think it only looks "bad" when it was clearly and "accident" - i.e. only near bead holes, but rest is shiny, etc.

I think it looks WONDERFUL on that bead and with that set.

 These are too cool. I love them. Keep it up, now I am going to have to mess around with all the reduction frit to see what it will do to the EDP.

Thank you! What a bunch of quick answers! You are all great!
Most of the beads are iris reduction frit on 254...but two of them, the two opaques closest to the focal are copying Ingrid's silver foil on 254.

Ann, I happen to like the look, it is very earthy. I was purposely boiling glass the other day, I liked the outcome.

Those are great. I use reduction frit a lot and like that same effect. Makes it look Egyptian tomb old, ya know?

Well Ann...you know me an EDP! I love it! imagine that all moretti colors came out with shiny surfaces...and You wished that sometimes you could vary the texture or appearance of the colors and had at last found it...! This color is incredible...and worth playing with....I LOVE IT! ;-)
