Sorry, I have already posted this once in the Digital Art forum (newbie!), but I think this is where it ought to have gone in the first place. Painted traditionally, i.e. without use of any filters, on a white digital canvas using brush tools and pressure-mouse.

Welcome Roy.. I love everything about this painting. The water, shedded tail, flowing hair, the colors and the pose. Very artistic and very well done.

Wow, all this with a mouse! You'd really be dangerous with a stylus. Cool concept, nicely executed!

THANK YOU Lucy, Sue, Justjean and Digistyle... for the welcome and for your generous praise. :)
Uh-oh digitstyle, I am sorry if I've given you the wrong impression that it was painted with a 'mouse'. When I wrote 'pressure-mouse' I actually meant a pressure sensitive pen mouse, like the one you use to draw on a tablet. I guess stylus is the appropriate word although I have heard people use the expression 'pen-mouse'. Yeah, I know... the pen looks less like a real mouse than our trusted computer mouse :D Sorry for that bit of inadvertent wool, but thanks all the same!
