11 x 15
acrylic on paper

I decided yesterday morning to do a quicky painting before I cleaned out our garage (there's a neighborhood wide garage sale this Friday and Sat.)...I kept dinking around with this for so long I didn't get to the garage until 3 pm. I've changed it so many times (garage avoidance) it weighs 3 lbs. with paint layers...
Oh well...comments and critique always appreciated...

Looking great Lauren - there is a real vibrancy from the orange edging - great simplification of shapes and composition too!

Very exciting style and color. I like the invitation of the open door.

Thanks so much everyone! I appreciate your comments....

It's still propped up and being evaluated....I'm tending to think it might be too simple...a little bit of added interest within each shape might be in order....I like it from far away...but moving in for a closer look doesn't give any real "surprises" as it is now...

Thank-you!

I like this it is simple and effective with nice bright colours. A cheerful painting indeed. It reminds me of a Clarice Cliff (porcelain painter) , I think around 1930 or so. Worth looking her up on the internet . You will be surprised at the similarity. Well done.

The temperature contrasts really make it vibrate. Nice perspective too. Nice work.
