Here's my latest. Haven't done a floral in awhile so I'm sure it needs help. I'm not really happy with the leaves. I punched up the green leaves in color a bit after I saw this pic on my monitor. And the flower color is brighter than shows up here. There is more pink/purple tones. Any help suggestions before I sign and finish coat? Thanks!!! http://wetcanvas.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=401275&stc=1&d=1216248641

The flower is beautiful but the leaves could use a little more color

This is perfect Ruth!
The wild rose is our Provincial flower and grows here in great abundance.
And when they bloom the smell is heavenly!
I can smell roses when I look at yours!

To me, this is lovely and I like how you've painted the leaves and background.

I LOVE the soft pinks....hard for me to get. Do you remember what colors you used? I love this on this background, it pops....great job

Lovely work! But I think the flowers should have been bigger.

beautifully rendered rose -
I think tho that it needs a little more background light to give full credit to the beautiful job you have done on the blossoms.
I just wonder whether bringing some areas of the wonderfully detailed leaves and grasses into a little more light - like a ray of light catching some of them?
Your sensitivity to beauty really comes through in your art
