16 x 20 canvas. Knives, brushes and sponge. Real place in Salinas, PR. Worked the clouds with a sponge, C&C's welcome.

That's not how you spell "STOP".
The perspective looks great, love the detail on the sign, and the mountains--my only crit is on that lone shadow in the road. It's a little...something...it's a bit distracting, but I'm not sure what my problem with it is...too solid, too warm, too singled out. Perhaps IRL it works just fine.
Lovely colors in this.

Love the way the sign takes center stage. I agree with Jenny's crit. Also the blue sky seems too dark to me. Competes with the sign, imo. Keep it going. This is a fun one!

I have seen the sky that color....and the clouds are marvelous! I love all of it, except as a few others have said...the shadow of the tree....sorry.

Hi Tony! this is a great scene, agree about the funky tree shadow! is the sign realy that high off the ground?? it looks almost as tall as the tree compared to the size of the streets, just curious!!

I agree about the shadow, otherwise it looks great!
This is a fun piece indeed Tony - love the red of the sign repeated across in the tree.
Maybe the shadow just needs another couple further up the road and softening the edges - it is probably quite sharply defined in the photo ref as it reads as strong sunlight - so use artistic licence on this one. my thoughts :)

Hey Tony, I don't know how I missed this.
I like it, and agree with all the former posters!
You do live in a beautiful area!
That's not how you spell "STOP"
I agree, in a lot of Canada it is spelt http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/17-Jul-2008/92567-stop.JPG:lol:

Thanx all for looking and the great input. Shadows got to me on this one. Kinda of fixed it up a bit and added a few more things. Calling it finished. POI was the stop sign for sure, been looking at this for years now. Pretty much the way it looks.....TJ

I agree the shadow is a sore point, I think its to dark where it lays on the road and its a lonely shadow, it doesn't help define the light source. Its just my opinion but lightening the present shadow and bringing more shadow below the brush in the lower left corner would help... grrrr my image uplader STILL doesn't work
