Hi everyone!

I've painted mostly in oils, but recently tried some paintings in acrylics. I didn't think I'd like them, but I found I didn't mind the fast drying time. I'll probably keep at it with both mediums.

I mostly paint wildlife. Here are some new acrylics I did. Some grizzlies. I also have an interest in Paleontology so I sometimes paint prehistoric wildlife. This one is a Chasmosaurus dinosaur running through a field of flowers (just started to evolve around his time).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy them. thank you for looking:)

Beautiful work here! I love your brushstroke technique! The two bear paintings are my favorites - I'll bet they look even more fantastic in real life! :D

Welcome to Acrylics Angie!
Love the bold brushstrokes you use and the very confident tackling of the subject - the experience shines through! :)
So glad you find the fast drying is OK - means you may visit more often!
Love the colour choices in all.
BTW - I've resized to 800 - the auto re-sizer isn't working just now.

A lot looser than what I usually go for, but I like the work on the fish and the way the pictures have so much dimension.

Thanks so much you guys!

This seems like a great forum, with a lot of wonderful artists, thank you for the welcome and for your nice comments.
I've started a new acrylic painting and will be sure to post it here.

I look forward to learning a lot from all of you. Once again, thank you all.

The faces on those bears are so good and I too like the brush work.

Angie, these are all fabulous! I love your bold, loose brushwork and the great use of color. Welcome to our forum. I also use both mediums although I have not done any oils for a few months. The acrylic seems to grow on a person and the fast dry time sure speeds up production!

I love how the brushstrokes add texture to the bears' coat. Cool!

Wow! It seems dangerous where you live: two grizzlys and a dinosaur. :)
