Both are awesome. The design and textures in the architecture on the top piece are fantastic and the reflections in the water really add spark. #14 is also composed very well and the temp contrasts and use of complements really work. The yellow leaves just glow.

Thanks, artchrispy and Susan. :) I'm starting to make friends with perspective, even though I've surely not perfected anything!

awesome !! ... do you have all the references already? ... are they already drawn on the supports? ... or do you start from scratch on each one?

Thanks all.

Violet. I just start with a small canvas panel, do a quick sketch, and start painting. I got my images from the RIL. :) I printed off wallet sized prints. With small prints I don't have to worry about getting too detailed. :)

They both look great! Are you enjoying this project?

Michelle, I am enjoying it, mainly because I can see the finished product sooner than normal AND it's stretching my ablilites. What I don't like is that it is taking up time when I could be doing plein air. I will be taking a break after I hit 20 to do plein air for 2 weeks. I'll actually be taking part in a workshop with Larry Seiler during that time.

 WoW! These are both great, Linda! Love that little patch of clear blue water under the first and the wonderful details on the bridge. It's very regal looking! The second has such a fantastic perspective! Both display beautifully!:D

Thanks Ruth. I'm keeping them a secret from all except a select few. :) Good positive feedback so far.
