What fun! However, to me, it doesn't look like the parrots are in the same painting as the other elements. I'm guessing either the colors don't "mesh" or maybe there's too much detail in the background compared to the parrots? Or maybe it's just me?

I love it!

 Your pair of parrots are very nicely painted, Cami! I really like the relationship between the two birds in this. I do see what Angela is talking about, however. It may be a value issue as the birds are so much "heavier" than the rest of the elements. Even so, I spent some time marveling at the flowers in the background which to me, are little masterpieces all by themselves. Very nice! :D

Thanks all for looking and the comments. I have yet to decide what I want to paint next. I really like trying other things, but I'm not in a hurry so maybe there will be more parrots. I sorta see what Angela and Elizabeth see in the photo. I'm not so sure it is the same in the actual painting. I will stare at it a few days longer, then walk away for a few until I can see it in a different light.

Thanks again
