ooo, find Maggie Latham. She used to live in Florida I believe but recently moved to the UK. She's around here somewhere and hopefully can give you some direction.

I would check with your local art gallery and local art stores. They may have some info.

Lots of good artists teach in Fl, especially in the winter months, check with your local pastel society, in the Pastel Journal, and try www.PleinAirFlorida.org (http://www.PleinAirFlorida.org)

Hello there! If you are looking for Key West check out The Studios Of Key West http://www.tskw.org/as they have regular classes and workshops in many different mediums.
Also try the FKCA (Florida Keys Council of the Arts) http://www.keysarts.com/ as they publish lots of info of classes (and grant opportunities) up and down the Keys. There is a really good pastel (and watercolor) artist ~Priscilla Coote~ who used to be president of my art group down there, who shows at the Gallery on Greene in Key West, http://www.galleryongreene.com/who was, I believe giving demos occasionally on Marco Island at the Art League. There are several really good pastel artists living in Key West, but not sure anymore who teaches. You could also try contacting the Miami Dade council for the Arts as they might have info on classes in the Miami area.

Hope this helps,

Hi Joanne - The Armory Art Center www.armoryart.org is in West Palm and there is the Lighthouse Center for the Arts www.lighthousearts.org in Tequesta (just north of Jupiter). Just heard that Michael Chesley Johnson will be doing a workshop over in Sarasota this coming December www.MichaelChesleyJohnson.com.

I'm in south FL so if I hear of anything else I'll let you know.
