I was not sure where to post this, it is an abstract acrylic landscape, I think it is more abstract than anything else. size is 16" X12", knife painted with a little brush work., using Daler rowney Cryla paints. hop you like it, C & C always appreciated, I am not sure if the trees add anything to the scene.?
Best wishes, Ken..

Hi plec. Love that sky! I think the trees have a place but they are fighting a bit with the hill behind them. Maybe give them more definition?

hi Ken
yes I think the trees are actually creating perspective and dimension. Avery pleasing and easy on the eye picture.

Ken... This has great color. For me, I'd love to see you take it away from detail and go for bigger geometric units. For example, instead of defining each tree, I'd love to see just one shape for the trees in a single color, maybe the lighter of the greens you used. The hill and each mountain could be a slightly different, but very flat colored geometric shape... Just an idea of how to play with what you have.

Beautiful painting. I love the bright intense sky. I think you posted it in the right forum as it is contemporary. I also think you're right about questioning the trees. To me, the green is distracting from the beautiful sky and the lovely contrast of the blue mountains. If you take them out I think you'd have a very dynamic painting.

Thankyou all for your comments which I appreciate.I think I will try another without the trees, and maybe one with more trees. Diane I like your idea and will also look at that .
Thanks again for the input, Ken..
