Thank you so much for posting the essay written by Charles Movalli. He is a brilliant painter, primarily working in acrylic, and who painted and studied with Emile Gruppe. You can see some of his work at www.rieserfineart.com (http://www.rieserfineart.com). I am truly honored to have my work hanging along side Mr. Movalli's at this gallery.
I am so glad that you posted this, as I can now send this to my father to explain why I am not painting as realistically now. Words have failed me so many times when in discussion with him.

Carol, thank you so much! It expressed what I want to be when I grow up, and am so far from being.
Kim, thank you for the link to his work!!

I thought this was really insightful and thought it would be a great read to share. I am glad this is helping you describe your feelings about your art to your dad Kim. Regardless, I bet he is very proud of your accomplishments!!!! Kim don't sell yourself so short you have an innate talent that is deserving of the accolades you receive. Thanks for getting his name right, if he wrote that wonderful article he deserves all the credit. Thanks, also, for explaining his accomplishments, that is a great site, and what an honor to be represented by that gallery!
Charlie, your so funny! Yep it's a continual growth process and I feel as if I am still in the incubator!
