Hello everyone,
I'd just like to ask a question if i may?
I know nupastels are harder than soft pastels,
but are van gogh pastels harder or softer than nupastels?
and which ones would be best for sketching in the picture first?
are there any differences between those two?
k.. thanks everyone..be back soon

Hi, I think the Van Gogh area bit harder than Nupastel, but either would work for sketching, especially on the sanded papers.

I have both and agree with Tressa. Do have to say that Nupastels are my favorite between the two and I rarely use the Van Goghs.

Thank you
Tres and Binkie
for your help i have found the van goh's are harder too.
but didn't know if they could both be used for sketching in the subject, before applying the softer pastels.
thanks again!
