Hey all, I'm finally out of lurk mode. I love this forum and this site...so much to see and so many talented, diverse artists. It's truly inspirational.

I've also signed up for the heart challenge and will post my photos later...at work now so should be getting back to the grind.

More later,

Kathy

Thanks for the welcome. I've seen both of your work and read your posts and already feel like I know you. Kind of gives you both a celebrity status!

Bienvenue !
I am the *exotic* touch of the forum, decided it lacked a little French touch (and I still don't know what French blue is, if anyone has info...)

Margaretz, Anne, Valerie and Shirley,
Thanks for the welcome...I look forward to getting to know all of you better. I will need lots of help in posting pictures and I'm not sure about getting a tiny head?

Lauri, Mike and Jennifer,
It's great to see so many familiar names (and now faces) from the ISGB forum. I've been fans of all of you, Lauri's incredible boro beads, Jennifer's wonderful etched/enamels and Mike's marbles and witticisms.

It's nice to sneak on-line and think about torching, see your beautiful beads and pick up all of the tips and inspiration you all offer. But back to work, it's way too hot in my garage at this time of day to torch anyway, may as well be making money!

Thanks again!

L'amore, mais oui? Blu, blu, l'amore et blu. OK, how badly did I butcher that? I could try again in Japanese...

Thanks Misty we do need to meet somewhere besides forums/chat rooms!

I already feel at home...my grandaughter is going to be attending a French immersion program this fall (kindergarten through 5th grade) and is already practicing French...and someone is always spitting/sprewing something here!

Thanks all for making me feel at home!

Kathy

My mother was very old fashioned. I can still recall like it was yesterday how she would react when around anyone speaking a language other than English. "Why don't those foreigners learn to speak English", "I think they're talking about me", I was even punished on more than one occasion for trying to learn Spanish!
I've always wondered... why she wouldn't try to communicate but, I've also wondered...why did she want me to stop communicating? Anyone?
