Well, it is done. much joy. Thanks to everyone who had encouraged me to finish. Although it is too late to make any changes, C & C is encouraged. As stated earlier, this is an acrylic painting measuring 3ft by 4.5ft and texturized with plaster of paris. The underlying composition is the Fibonacci sequence, which you really can no longer see, but it is what determined the placement of the circle as well as the panels. The tetured areas were highlighted with gold (although it may look yellow on the computer).

Mum, if you see this before sunday, Happy Mother's Day. Thanks.

Usually I only lurk in this forum, but this work made me come out of the corner to say WOW. There is a very settled and comfortable feel until I look at the texture and the red "hole" closeup. An unusual paradox exists in this work--definitely one that needs some study. Thanks for sharing.

Great finish. What is the substrate?

How is the plaster thing working for you?

Idyl: If I think I understand what substrate is, then it is 10 ounce canvas streched across a frame. The plaster of paris works well for me. I like that I can build more texture and higher peaks than I can with other products. The only thing I don't like is that it abosrbs alot of paint and right in the beginning, it canbe difficult to paint on. Other than that, it is great.

Mum: Thank you very much, glad you love it. Knew I was going to get at least one positive comment

Clementine: yes you did comment on this work before but it was still a WIP. Thank you for your new comment.

Dhuot: Thank you for comment. I am thinking of doing a similiar piece of just that area with texture as it seems to be the area that gets the most comments.

Thanks
