I haven't posted here for quite a while. Probably it is because I don't do many pastels these days -it's mostly watercolour. However, I did a demo this morning for the Palette Club in Swansea, Wales UK
Full sheet of Canson Mi-Tientes paper using mainly Unison pastels although there were a few Art Spectrum and Sennelier. Time- about 50minutes
C & C always welcome

Arnold, I spotted your post and knew I'd be treated to something special. I was not disappointed. Your colors are so vibrant that they sing, but ever so subtly. How is that possible? I hope that you will consider a WIP for us some time soon.

Arnold, wonderful painting, as ever. I admire the effortlessness of it, the glowing light, and then you kill me with the final arrow -- 50 minutes, full sheet!!!

Once again Arnold, a beautiful painting. It is interesting to me how so many of your pastel paintings look like watercolour paintings in speed... meaning much more vibrant than the average watercolour. You make me wish I lived in Wales so I could learn directly from you. If I go back far enough in my ancestory, there is a bit of Welsh - for that matter everything on the British Isles accept Scot!

Awesome. I didn't know you worked in pastels as well as water color. Now, come on Arnold ? 50 min ? Now that hurts. :) Love your work as always.

 So glad I got to see this!!! And so beautifully english-looking. I love watercolers, as well. There are so many great w/c artists from the UK! I love this pastel, so clean and pretty. Can't believe the size! Thanks !
