Hi everyone
I've recently being doing some cross stitch which I seem to have taken to very easily. I bought the puppets set of 100 skeins of thread as I didn't want to spend too much, not knowing if I would take to the hobby, & I thought this would give me a good range of colours. Does anyone know where I can buy this range as individual skeins & has anyone else tried this range?
Thanks in advance.
Anne
Hi Anne, and welcome to the forum! I'm not sure.... but I think I'm one of the few who cross stitches on the forum. Since I'm here In America, I'm not familiar with the brand you have mentioned. I use DMC thread. In the beginning I would just buy the colors I needed to complete the project I had chosen. As I did more projects my thread suppy gradually grew so that now I rarely have to buy new thread. Please share with us when you have completed your project. It's nice to have another cross stitcher here.

Hello Anne and welcome to Fiber Arts Forum! I hope there will be other UK folks who can help you out with your query..I'm here in US as well and like Sher, when I did counted cross I used DMC floss.
I tried to Google this and could only find one link which was to have given a conversion chart for Puppet to DMC but the link did not work. Sorry. Perhaps the retailer where you purchased the thread could give you some idea or if there is an address or website listed on the thread package you could write to the company that sells it.
I hope you will post your WIP's and FO's for us to see!!!!

Thanks beebluefern & Sher
I am thinking of using DMC once I have finished the Puppet threads as they are easier to get hold of. I havn't done any of my own designs yet, but I have afew finished pieces. These havn't been ironed yet as I need a new iron so forgive the creases. The "Dad" one is going to be used on a card for fathers day. C&C welcome:wave:

Anne,
They are all so bright and cheery. I think my favorite is the hummingbird. Your dad should love his card........who wouldn't! You did a great job on all of them
