.. another red barn. I went back to the little barn/shed I had used for a windbreak when I painted the side of it on Monday. This time I decided to make a painting by using my site as inspiration rather than observing and trying to state the facts. I like it and look forward to more experiments in the art of making art. This is 16 x 20 oil on stretched canvas.

And for Jamie. This is 9 x 15 x 2.5 .. light as a feather. The black is electric tape used to keep the foamcore board from falling apart. I used the tape as a hindge as well and just use a cloth rag to hold it open when I paint. The 8 x 10 panel fits (Squeezed) into the lid so it does not move.

.. and with a palette made of foamcore .. I tape freezer paper to it for a disposable palette

Awesome...Red Green would approve big time!!! An icon here in northern Wisconsin!! :D

We just fixed a PVC pipe in our golfer's practice cage/net when a athlete on follow-thru nailed and busted a vertical upright using his driver. I have art projects students are given as options using duct tape.

practical paintbox Wayne...and yep, always room for another red Americana barn scene!!! Nice effort there...

Nice one Wayne, the ultimate stealth kit. That just gave me an idea, you could shellac the foamcore palette and do away with the freezer paper altogether if you wanted, at least that's what I might do myself!. Travelling light is da bomb especially when you're not driving.... The only time I've used a foamcore palette is when I (duh!) forgot to bring my real palette. Shellac would have been good that day, but I got by... :D

Nice painterly Wayne-ish brushwork and on the barn and tree too!

Thanks Larry and Julianne

.. it was fun and left me longing to get out and let a few more punches fly. I read a good quote yesterday but how one could never make a mistake doing plein air. All one could do was offer up a new accidental that had the possibility to lead anywhere (good as well as bad). I like that and find it much easier to fight when you know you can't lose the battle.
