Hi All ~ Another glass bead maker here. I've been lurking for the past week or two, ever since Laura's post on the ISGB forum. Thanks Laura! This is a great message board!! I'll be checking in on a regular basis. Will explore the site, and see if I can figure out how to post a pic. Hope you are all having a great summer. Happy Fourth! ~ Kathy Sinnott :)

Hi Kathy. Post away. There is the uploader ( toward the top of the page) and the 'attach file' below the emo cons to upload images. Two methods, WOW! Plus tons of other great stuff here.
Mike, gotta get to work, E

Welcome to WetCanvas, Kathy! Y'all (glass folks, I mean) seem to be fleeing some other website; hope you find a good home here at WetCanvas!

Hiya Rose,

Thanks to all of you for welcoming us with open arms. We're not fleeing, just looking for somewhere we can freely express what others consider our "bad taste"! :D

Hi Kathy, glad you jumped in! I'm a glass fan, rather than a glass artist...

Thanks for such a warm welcome!
I'm ready to try posting a pic... (via the "uploader" path.) It's a close up view of some beads from a necklace that I made last Summer. I called the series "Aqua Blues" :)

Hmmm, pics not there/here. Back to the drawing board...
Maybe it would help if I add this link...

Hi Kathy - love the color of those beads! Did you post that via the uploader?

B2 (who hasn't had the time to experiment with all the cool features)

HiYa Beth-B2 ~
Yes, I used the "uploader", just followed the directions. First time it didn't work. Then I decided to "wing it". Used the same "cut & paste" URL (?) into my message.
The file was/is a little too BIG, tho, don't cha think?!
So much to learn here at WC!

Kathy,
I really like the effect of the dots "floating" over the swirls. It gives the beads a lot of depth! Fabulous!!

Welcome Kathy,
Beautiful beads in your detail photo! I love the colorations, and as the others have voiced, I'm especially fond of the 'floating dots over the swirls' beads. Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm happy you all like the "floating dots"! That's my favorite detail in these beads, too. Well, actually, my _favorite_ detail is/are the shadows that are cast by the floating dots. :)
I'll try attaching another pic of the whole group. First, tho, I will probably have to reduce the file size...

Yes, Kathy, I believe you're right. It *is* the shadows that make the whole effect really neat. It's so hard to really bring out depth in glass, both in "real life" and in pictures. I think you've succeeded in doing it! Way to go!

Mags :)

Hi Kathy,

Beautiful beads! We'd love to see a pic of the whole set...i know i would, at least! :D The shadows of the dots are a really cool effect.
