MY COMMENTS:
This was a idea that came to me which I proceeded to screw up (the face and hand part anyway.) Thanks to the "guys" in WIP (Lee, Clive, John, Dana, Corvus) this painting was tu
ed around from trash to a fairly good piece, for me anyway.

So thanks for all the help. Corvus thanks so mcuh!, the bu
t umber and bu
t sienna worked great. I added naples yellow for highlights and glazed w/umber-sienna again.

Thanks for the title Clive I decided on Alas instead of Jester.

If you want to see what a mess this was go to WIP and see "help please".

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Any comments/criticisms are appreciated

Hi Tony. I did see this in WIP and think you have done a remarkable job of bringing more interest to this painting. Good job.........Lenore

Turned out very nicely indeed. The composition is wonderful in its simplicity and well supported with the colors you've used.

Thanks Lenore, it was a lot more work than I thought.

Ronni, thanks for the kind comments. Always interested in your feelings on my work.

Clive, thanks for the title and the colors did work out good. That was Corvus. It was hard putting that first stroke of glaze burnt umber as he suggested. But right after the first stroke I know Corvus was right (suprise:) )

Tony, I like it, the strong focus on poor Yorick!

Maybe thumb a bit pudgy; and more dimensionality might make it more effective; but a credible effort.

I did see your WIP too, Tony. The result of the painting is great, like the contrast of the dark and light.

Way to work through a problem piece!

Michele, thanks I wanted Yorrick to be the focus.

Thanks Alan, point taken about the thumb.

Thanks Swe, I wanted to work with high contrast, as that's not my style usually.

Corvus, thanks. Your assistance on fixing the skin color was excellent.

Spyderbabe, I'm trying to work through problems as opposed to throwing things out. Thanks to the help from the WC crowd I saved this one. And I'm trying to prepare better before putting brush to canvas. Thanks.
