The left half of the piece is well developed and warm, a place I'de like to be but the right half seems like it needs more work. Do you see a tendency in your work to divide the painting in half?

It's interesting -- all so earthy. It's almost like an old slightly faded photo. The brightness of the flowers seems to clash with the rest.

I feel you have great painting skill and that this is a very well chosen composition but you've overdone the washed out lighting effect. I have ramped up the contrast in my photoshop job and commend it to you.

I like the version with the better contrast too. Maybe you can give your painting more depth. The motive is very good.
