Just thought I'd let the WetCanvas pastel artists know that Desmond O'Hagan, the artist that helped me to really loosen up, is giving a 3 day workshop in Colorado on April 25, 26, & 27.

If you want to read a summery of my experience, and get an idea of what his technique is all about, you can view it on my blog:

The following is a link to the workshop information:

If you do go, you will get to meet our own Mike Beeman. Mike read about Desmond's technique on my blog, and signed up last week. If you haven't seen Mike's wonderful pastels and oils, the following is a link to his site. http://pastelsbeeman.blogspot.com/

If you can fit Desmond's workshop into your busy schedule...you won't regret it!

Thanks for the heads up, David. I'd love to take this workshop. Ouray, what a great place to paint. What a great place, period. What a great teacher. What a great combo.

Unfortunately, I am pretty sure I'd have to win the lottery to pull it off. sigh. Gonna have to do some thinking on this.

Good Morning David...I believe the workshop is scheduled for August 15, 16, and 17th NOT August 22, 23 and 24..he was going to move it up a week because of the DNC...but haven't heard back yet. I'm not sure of the April one but I know I won't be at that one!
