Hello.

If i finish a still life/landscape in about 6-12 uhrs, because i am not a Master, and the "quality" of my paintings is far away from the masters

I am curios how long has a Master eq. Rembrandt, picasso etc. paint to finish a portrait/landscape:confused:

can someone tell, how long has a master paint until the painting was finished?

Hi Nico,

I have no idea really. I read a book called the The Yellow House about Van Gogh and it seems to me he would work on painting over several weeks at least, and do multiple versions of some of them also. That's about all I know on it. I think they probably took varying amounts of time just like painters today do.

Hey Nico,

You might be interested in this. The acrylics forum has started up a Masters painting in acrylic thread this month. They are starting off with Renoir
