Just thought since I've been lurking and posting a little I should make it official. It's nice to have another cyber area to hang out in. And I really like this format. OK, if you want any more info you can read my profile, but since it's really about beads..I'll post a pic. Well, I'll attempt to post one. This is the debut of this particular bead style. After all the info re: sandblasting, etc., I just can't stay quiet anymore. (I rarely stay quiet.) :D

Here you are Lauri,
Boro? Size? I like any bead that looks like natural minerals. Very cool.

Guess I didn't give any particulars. These beads are moretti. They are a fun triangular bicone shape, approx 60 mm long. Or 2 1/2 inches at my house. They are etched then faceted on the three points. And..speaking of faceted, here's another little experiment with the facetor.

Hi, Lauri!
I gotta tell ya...the faceted look is *gorgeous*!! Way to go! :)

Welcome Lauri,

Gorgeous beads, I really like the ends...they seem to be glowing.
I could devour the beads in the second picture, brilliant colors.

Just one more pic...a new necklace using a smaller version of the etched faceted bead. The rest of the beads are amethyst with bali silver. Didn't show the clasp cuz it's not completely finished.

Lauri - that is beautiful! Do you sell your jewelry in local galleries? I'm pretty sure you don't sell the finished pieces on eBay (which is a lousy jewelry venue, I've been told and observed...) I'm sure you sell some at shows, just wondering what other venues you use. That necklace is awesome!

Welcome Jami and Jacqui!

Hey it's Jami!! And Jaqui! You've been caught at the keyboards, so now you have to post some bead pics and officially introduce yourselves. Yeah, I know...you're both sooo shy. But thems the rules. Not really, but post anyway.

Hey Beth, in answer to your question. I occasionally sell finished pieces to galleries and I sell a bit from my website. Some of it sells at shows. Maybe two times a year I offer a finished piece on eBay. I'm currently stocking up on jewelry pieces for the Rosen Show in a couple of weeks, in Philadelphia. I'm tagging along with Doug Remschneider, it's reallly his booth. I'm just the booth slave this time.
