I reckon its about 1/2 way there now. I have to add the Railings Antenna, masts and stuff. Quite happy with the water though. Not sure about the background yet. I am hoping it will really fade into the back as I busy the ship up and add the fine detail.

It will be interesting to watch this evolve, Bogwopit.
The rear mountains are too dark at this stage, with too much prescence.
Watch the light on the boat, especially the superstructure. Even though it is white, there will be shadows, and values differences.These will be essential for conveying good form.

Your right with the mountains I think Marty, I have had a feeling that they are going to be over powering.think I might tone them down before I add teh supertstructure to it.

Being very slooow and lazy currently, It's getting there though. Detail going in now, Been a lot of fun though and I will be scouting around for my new project soon.

She has turned out beautiful Bogwoppit :clap: ....I feel that I could reach out and touch her .....if it wasn't for the water between us! :lol:

My main issues with this paintings were.
1. Canvas, quite a rough Grain to it (was bought for me) Did not really fit for detail although it did force me to be loose.
2. I have never seen the boat in the flesh and the painting is a composite of 3 or 4 photos all from different angles.
3. Its not real, not overly sure what that means I just know that it lives in a impossible world.
