I wanted to make an afghan for the foot of my bed as even in SC one occasionally gets "cold feet" plus I like afghans! I picked up the appropriate amount of yarn from my stash and came up with the design/stitches of choice and got into making it before realizing that not all the yarn was the same color! Oops! Funny thing is that I decided it would look good with a two colored yet similarly toned affect, so I went with it! The quilt it's on is squares of coordinated fabrics and so the color block look of the afghan folded at the foot of the bed worked well and the softness of the colors and similarity of tones doesn't compete with the fabrics on the bed.

This may not show in "true" color here but i think you'll get the idea:

Well, it's very lovely, Martha, and it looks right at home at the foot of your bed. Really nice pattern and colors.:)

Yes, it looks deliberate and the stitch is really pretty!

Thanks Diana and Cindy! It's "V" stitch primarily. Works up well. Lacy but not without warmth. I guess it's not the pattern for people who dislike "holey" afghans as some of my friends do, but in SC, I don't need heavy bulky ones!

I just started my next one. Afghans have long been a stress reliever for me. Brainless and pretty! I'm not sure what the new one will look like yet. I am making it up as I go along! It'll "tell me" how it wants to look!
