This is what I took photos of when I was wandering around Siena, Italy. There is just nothing this old or with this much character where I live and I was fascinated by the doors and doorknockers.

painted on Arches 140lb cold pressed paper

13.5"x 11"

used all Winsor Newton watercolor paints

title: Knock Knock

thanks for looking:)

Very realistic indeed! You could almost reach out and touch the warm wood. *SMILE*

This is really a "knockout" Em!

I really like your style and what you can achieve on CP paper. It is almost like air brush!

Do you do a lot of glazing?

I really admire how you achieved the 3D effect.

Thanks everyone!! All this interaction and feedback is wonderful for me. I usually just sit in my studio and get comments from my family (they are wonderful and are becoming educated with art and such, but hey....they're family!! LOL).

I appreciate you taking the time to comment:)

thanks
