This is the way I tried to approach the last Different Strokes cityscape... I had in no way the success of your out come. Great job!

I really like the style and the palette in this, and there is certainly nothing at all wrong in your technique. But I have a big problem with the dark stripe down the centre, my eye can't make up its mind which side of the canvas to look at. Your detail pic says it all for me.....it's a complete painting on its own.

I like this painting. I was born and raised in NY and have a certain affection for the Manhattan skyline. And as I said I like this painting a lot, but looking at it makes me feel uneasy, sad even. I don't know why, maybe it's your palette?
