What do I think? I think you are very, very brave to tackle this. In all its simplicity, it's a great composition. When I first saw this, I found it very convincing. But now I've spent quite some time looking at it, [maybe that's not such a good idea, but if I had this hanging on my wall, I would be looking at it a lot!], anyway, now I'm not so convinced. The composition and the highlights are the strong points here, but after a while the light on the right side looks like it has been painted onto the form itself. I think maybe because the edges are a little hard. Also the left side is becoming lost a little onto the background, but maybe thats the photography.
Anyway I am being super-critical, so please forgive me. This is still a very good painting, and I'm glad you shared it with us.
Can you tell us what size is this painting?

Very interesting _ like it a lot but just wish it did not cut the canvas in half.

You are braver than I am....I have yet to attempt anything glass; it literally scares me. I has a nice feel to it tho'.

I think it's water coming out of a faucet and I can't think of anywhere else on the canvas to put it other than the middle. To me, it seems like a breaking of a rule that works, probably because of the way the background is handled--the dark background slides into the water, making it feel like they're taking up 2/3 of the canvas. I think it's remarkable and now I've got to get out my camera and turn on my kitchen faucet!

I really like it :)
