Congratulations!! You deserve it!

I hate to show my ignorance, but I guess to ask is the only way to know? Is there anyone besides me that never saw the "people quality" to these before? I am feeling quite like I was blind and I just went back and relooked at all the ones I had looked at before....and now I am even more amazed than I was before. My only excuse is that I have not been here for very long, but somehow that doesn't make me feel better. (makes me wonder what else I have missed...sigh).

This one especially has a sort of Atlas Shrugged look to it, to me anyway. I always liked your paintings, John, I just never was really sure why they drew me. I cannot believe it took me so long to "get" them; can I blame it on senior moments??

Congratulations, John. Love the colors and energy in this.

Susan, most people didn't see the human figures in John's trees at first. It took a while, so don't chastise yourself. It's human nature not to jump to conclusions on WC, in fear of being wrong and offending someone with a wrong guess. I see things in almost all abstract shapes...sometimes they are not meant to be there....

I, for one, have always seen the people in the trees.
I have always thought that the world could use a few more "People" that are grounded as in Johns trees!
(Guess thats why the roots of every tree he paints has always fascinated me)
(But Suzie, once you do discover the person, you will always look for a translation for it!)
