Sly look

I am painting a portrait of a man from a photograph. This photo depicts an open honest face but I know that his true nature is one of deceit and deception. The question, which features can be tweaked to give him a sly look? Is it the eyes, mouth or what? I don't want it to be too obvious, not noticeable until I have been paid!

I think it's the eyes. But then I think maybe it's both the mouth and the eyes.
