View Full Version : Soul Sisters
A buyer asked me to do something similar to the painting I did last year for the cancer society, because she is currently undergoing investigation for breast cancer.
Well I didn't want to do the same, but I started with the same colours and then let it have its' own mind. Turned out more abstract than the other, but I don't think it needs any more definition.
Your c&c please!
and a crop since the above is a bit hard to see

That is very cool. I've always liked stuff that straddles the line between realism and abstraction.

The title says it all and the product reinforces it.
Very nice and visually very exciting.

fabulolus Lulu - the eye fills in the detail and it is excellent like this. Did you use texture in the bandanas?

I remember well those earlier works of yours. I was impressed back then, and am even more impressed now. This one is definitely stronger in composition IMO.
If you are interested in suggestions, I might have cooled the red tones a little at the bottom.

Beautiful, colorful abstract, which still conveys your message. Very well done. I think I like this even better than last year's. This appears to be a more sophisticated artistic image, more professionally designed, I think. Creative.
wow, thanks everyone - Ruth, Celeste, Arlene, Gayle, Kat, Ken, Thomas, Paul, Jenny, Darla and Paula.
Yes, I agee, it is better than last year's.
Ruth, the only texture on the bandanas is with the paint.
Thomas, I'm always open to suggestions, thanks very much.

Lulu, I really like this one - very unique. Outside of the color composition, which is brilliant, the painting has its own life in a way that makes one contemplate. Nicely done.
