Hello, all you with the paintbrushes. I usually hang out in the pastels forum, but I thought I would share a couple of my acrylics with you.

This is using a ref from Leanne in the Library, 16 x 20 on gallery wrapped canvas.

And this one is from a photo I took in Leavenworth when we took a moonlight sleigh ride. 16 x 20 on canvas and framed.
I enjoy seeing what all of you are doing - lovely, lovely work.

Very nice. I really like the winter scene.

The flowers look 3D. Wonderful!

The winter scene has a nice combo of lights and darks, cools and warm, horizontal and verticals.

These are beautiful!

Really lovely both. I find the frame on the second one distracting. That may only be the photo. The painting itself is very nice.

Harriet, those stargazers are fantastic. I just love them on that dark background. The belgiums is also very good. Welcome to acrylics. Please come back and post often.

Thank you all. I plan to do a companion piece to the stargazers and when I do, I'll post it.

Heck, I thought the painting was the picture........It is wonderful.
I tried flowers and did not so good, but you make me want to try again....
Great job.

Iloved the second one too. It is one you have to look at more than once

Re: the frame being distracting - I should have uploaded the sleigh pulling horses without the frame. The frame photographed much lighter than it actually was. But..... afterthought is what we learn from isn't it?

Thanks for the lovely comments. I do love to paint flowers. I have been working on a series of florals named after my granddaughters. That one after Lillian Elizabeth. The others (not pictured) are Britney's Blossoms, Abby's Rose Mallow (after Abigail Rose), and Caroline's Pansies. Not sure what's next, probably Callas for Caitlin. Of course, that will be after I do another Stargazer, which may be A Stargazer for Sophie. Enough of that.

This is a fun site to lurk in.
