My son is living with two female roommates so I thought this would be a fun one to paint for him :)

12x16in canvas

And a close-up:

C&C's welcome. I have a few days before I take it to him when we go on holidays next week, if anything needs fixing.
Thanks for looking!

very nicely done, a bit more tongue in cheek would have been if your sons shoes where in the middle

Lillian, that is awesome, I bet he likes it a lot. I thought it was your reference photo at first. Wonderful painting. You are so imaginative!

This is really well done! The only thing that I can crit is that maybe there should be some sort of moulding...wood or otherwise...at the base of the wall where it meets the floor?

My son used to own a pair of red sneakers just like that. I loved the way they looked...thanks for bringing back the memory!

Nothing to fix. It's great. I bet your son is going to love it.

Thank you Sue, Debbie, Cami, Michelle, Tracey, Margaret, Mrs.G, TxAggieDarlin, Michelle and Megan for commenting!

Debbie, thank you for the suggestion. There wasn't any molding in the reference photo, (which isn't my own) and I thought of putting one in, but in the end decided to kept it simple. :)

Michelle Stone, thank you for the enthusiastic reply! I like your idea of a series of different ones!

Tracey, it's funny where we get our ideas from sometimes. I actually got the idea for this from a picture on the back of a bus

Thanks again!

Love it! The palette is great. I love the way shoes can tell a story. Never mind the molding, it is mone effective this way. We donīt have any moldings in our whole house.

It looks great, and a cute idea too, nice work on those sneakers.

Thank you Assaf! He's pretty good about displaying the paintings I've given him, or maybe he just puts them up when he knows I'm coming for a visit
