I guess this could be considered western art, it is for me anyway. It is 11x14 graphite on white clayboard. It's the first time I've use the clayboard for drawing on but am pretty happy with the way it allowed both drawing and scratchboard techniques.

Harold, I really like this. Well done. It is always great when you try something new and it works for you.

Thank you SueEllen, I really appreciate your nice comment. It is nice when something new works out, kinda helps soothe the ones that don't. The clayboard worked surprisingly well for graphite.

Beautiful, Harold. I like the composition and the placement of the elk along the edge of meadow/treeline. It gives it a blending in with the environment. The animals are very easy to see but they also blend into the composition lines. It's very effective, kind of along the lines of Bev Doolittle's work. (I'm not explaining myself well... just know I like it very much.)
